Abstract:

The paper will explore the ways in which the reprinting culture of the late Georgian period (1780s-1830s) affected perceptions of time and space and the extent to which Anderson’s ‘Imagined Communities’ were enhanced or limited by the hurried timelessness of unattributed, and largely unaccountable, reprint reportage.
